As one of the first legendary Pokémon, Articuno is well-known in the world of Pokémon. This cold elemental bird has its devotees, but since its inclusion, the Galar area from Pokémon Sword and Shield has given it a new form. These new iterations will now show up in Pokémon Go. How to get Galarian Articuno in Pokémon Go
Unlike other legendaries, Galarian Articuno is a legendary beast that, as of this writing, is not present in raids. We currently know that using your Daily Adventure Incense is the only way to encounter this new variation of Articuno. You will have a very small chance of this flying and psychic-type materializing if you are moving during the 15-minute timer of this item's use. If you remain motionless for the entire 15 minutes, it is unlikely that it will show.
When this occurs, you should seize the opportunity to try and catch it. If you miss it, it has an extremely high probability of escaping, so use all of your best items to try to catch it. Use Ultra Balls and Golden Razz Berries if you have them. Unfortunately, as of this writing, that is the only method known to obtain Galarian Articuno. If we learn of any new methods for obtaining them, such as through five-star raids or other unique occurrences, we will update this article.
The Daily Adventure Incense can only be used once each day, so don't get discouraged if you don't see a legendary while using it. Since it's very unlikely that the legendary you want will show up, you should go back often and use the area every day until it does.
