Following Walgreens' admission that staff members may decline to provide clients with co#doms and emergency contraceptives, a wave of boycotts ensued. When a woman tried to purchase some condoms at Walgreens, she discovered that personnel is permitted by company policy to deny consumers the purchase of co#doms due to "moral objections."

The transaction was eventually completed by a manager, but both the particular exchange and the larger policy portend that we will face more terrible issues similar to this in the future.
