Huntail is the worse choice for Gorebyss among the two. Although these two Pokémon can evolve from Clamperl at random, they do not share the same stats. Gorebyss can have a maximum CP of 2,820, 211 attacks, 179 defenses, and 146 stamina. Huntail is surpassed by Gorebyss because of its superior attack, but the two share every other stat. Huntail can employ dark and ice-type moves, but Gorebyss has access to fairy and psychic strikes.
