Players that are both new to and returning to Destiny 2 will have access to a variety of new abilities, weapons, armor, and other gear. There are even more options to outfit your Guardian between Arc 3.0, a seasonal gear update, and the Expedition and Ketchcrash adventures. If during Season of the Haunted you weren't able to reach the pinnacle cap of 1570, Bungie has you covered. The Gift of the Thunder Gods is a whole 1570 equipment upgrade. Here's how to make a claim.
Visit the H.E.L.M. for the Gifts of the Thunder Gods
When you initially log into Destiny 2, you will see the opening cinematic and finish the introduction assignment. The Ahoy and Aweigh quest's Ketchcrash activity will then be assigned to you to finish. Hold off on beginning the new activity and instead head to the H.E.L.M. if you weren't already at 1570 Power.
The H.E.L.M. is home to all the new seasonal vendors as well as a lone treasure chest decorated in Fallen style with a spiral sign above it. You can obtain the following benefits by opening this 'Gift of the Thunder Gods' menu:
- The Thunderlord's Exotic Light Machine Gun will be stronger overall, and it will now have Anti-Overload rounds that can be used against Overload Champions.
- A piece of exotic armor for use with Arc 3.0 that is class-specific
- You can update your arsenal because there are 1570 weapons for all three slots and categories.
- Five pieces of armor from the 1570 Dreaming City that you can wear or infuse into your existing armor (some of the stat rolls aren't too bad).
The Gifts of the Thunder Gods can only be used once per character, so be careful how you use them. Once everything is configured to your preferences, head to Ketchcrash and begin the season grind in earnest.
