Katie Hobbs wins Democratic nomination for governor in Arizona primary election
Katie Hobbs will win the Democratic nomination for Arizona governor. She currently serves as Arizona's secretary of state. She is now the secretary of state for Arizona. The Associated Press declared the winner at 11:06 p.m. The presumptive favorite to win the nomination was E.T. Hobbs. Marco Lopez, a business consultant, was defeated by her.
The secretary of State ran for office in 2021 after garnering attention for her role in certifying Arizona's election results in the wake of former President Trump's allegations of voter fraud.
The main contests in the state are for the U.S. Senate, U.S. House, Arizona Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, and Superintendent of Public Instruction. There are many more significant contests as well. The results of these races will be published soon.
