MultiVersus: How to Check Your MMR
MultiVersus' matchmaking process is incredibly easy to use. Within a minute, you'll probably find a game and be matched up with players of similar skill. If you aren't on the same level as the top 100 players, you won't be matched with them in this game. This even applies to the ranked mode, which is not yet available. Here's how to check your MMR in MultiVersus and where it fits in.
How to Check Your MMR in MultiVersus
You must select the "Career" tab from the game's main menu in order to achieve this. By choosing your player symbol in the top left corner of the screen, you can access this. Your career statistics, such as your rankings in 2v2 and 1v1 matches, along with your win rates, most-played characters, and other gathered metrics, will be displayed here. When this menu appears, select the Leaderboards option. It will list the top 30 players for both doubles and singles, along with the most highly rated character for each player.
Your name and the account names of your friends should be visible when you scroll all the way to the bottom of either list. Each person has a unique MMR number listed next to their name. Alternatively, if you aren't playing the game, you can go to the tracker.gg website to view your own personal stats and those of other players. Here, player statistics like previous matches, victory rates for each mode, top fighters, and more are displayed in even greater detail and accuracy.
What is MMR?
Your Matchmaking Rating (MMR) completes the acronym. Your skill level in comparison to the rest of the player population is shown by this number. The better your matchmaking opponents are, the higher that number will be. With a different moniker, this is essentially the same as ELO from other games. You might also be familiar with skill-based matchmaking, which is used in MultiVersus. To prevent unfair encounters, the game will always aim to pair you up with opponents who have similar MMR scores to you. Of course, it's not a perfect system, and there may still be a few sweeps here and there.
