Voice chat was introduced by Roblox in November 2021. Only users who are at least 13 years old are permitted to use it, and the platform demands users to prove their age by uploading a photo of a valid form of identification. For those who lack such identification or do not choose to participate in the upload process, this procedure can be a substantial hurdle. Older players use Discord and other services instead of Roblox's voice chat feature.
Users of Roblox may spend more time on the platform as a result of the requirement for photographic images being removed because they won't have to switch between different third-party services in order to communicate with one another. Roblox has succeeded in attracting and keeping users who grew up on the site over the previous few years.
