It's crucial to remember that there is no surefire way to create a successful product plan for anything your business sells. As you assess how your product performed the year prior and what modifications you will need to make going forward, you must continue to be flexible with your products and remain cognizant of consumer sentiment. You may see this information in the annual report and the breakdown for every product you sell. Only the bottom three sliders, which represent the marketing cost, price, and production, can be chosen out of the four available.

The product's marketing strategy—especially if there is competition—is determined by the marketing cost. Therefore, you want to boost this if you're in a highly competitive atmosphere or if that particular year a competitor has a better possibility of securing better business due to promotions. How much you charge for your goods determines how much you'll sell. While charging a premium price will help you make money, not everyone may want to purchase it. If you have a top-rated product, raising the price is a wonderful idea, but you shouldn't make too many because they might not all sell that year.

Finally, your company's production is managed via the bottom slider. How many of those products do you intend to produce that year? To recoup your investment, you must sell as many of them as you can. Anything you don't sell will become extra inventory, and if that doesn't sell, you'll probably have to scrap it.
