All of Major League Baseball celebrates Roberto Clemente Day on September 15th. The day celebrates the life and contributions of the renowned Roberto Clemente, one of baseball's greatest humanitarians and outfielders for the Pittsburgh Pirates. San Diego Studios has added another 99 OVR player item of Clemente to MLB The Show 22's Diamond Dynasty as a way to honor him. Here's how to get this one, which is of the Retro Finest sort.
How to complete 99 OVR Clemente Program
You must earn 50 Points in order to finish this program in its entirety. The benefits that can be attained with this program are as follows:
- 10 Points – Headliners Set 32 pack
- 20 Points – Ballin’ is a Habit pack (x5)
- 30 Points – Roberto Clemente Bat Skin and 500 Stubs
- 35 Points – Headliners Set 39 pack
- 40 Points – Roberto Clemente Bat Grip and 500 Stubs
- 45 Points – MLB the Show 22 pack (x10)
- 50 Points – 99 OVR Retro Finest Roberto Clemente and 1,000 Stubs.
The 99 OVR Retro Finest Roberto Clemente is the program's star prize. You should aim to execute the following in order to reach the 50 Point mark in the cleanest manner possible:
- Complete the 10 Moments (30 pts. – 3 pts. each)
- Complete all four Parallel PXP Missions for 14 points:
- Tally 1,500 PXP with Pirates in Ranked Seasons, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, or Conquest (3 pts.)
- Tally 3,000 PXP with Pirates in Ranked Seasons, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, or Conquest (7 pts.)
- Tally 20 hits with Pirates in Ranked Seasons, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, or Conquest (5 pts.)
- Tally 40 total bases with Pirates in Ranked Seasons, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, or Conquest (5 pts.).
The Program offers two exchanges. The Missions and Moments can be completed instead of those, just like in the prior programs, unless you don't want to complete certain of the Moments. By completing the two exchanges, one for Pirates players (2 points) and the other for NL Central (4 points) players, up to two of the Moments may be bypassed. Saving Stubs by avoiding such Exchanges will help.
Assembling a team of Pirates players and using those cards in Conquest or Mini Seasons is arguably the best approach to finish the Missions. You can grind in various Conquests and/or Mini Seasons that way without being constrained by internet play. Users can obtain 15,000 XP toward the Back to Old School Featured Program if they complete this Program entirely and earn the 99 OVR Clemente. Look for the Clemente collection under the Back to Old School Program. Take the 15,000 XP and lock the card inside.
