NBA 2K23: How to fast travel in The City

For the franchise and MyPlayer, NBA 2K22 was an interesting period for a number of reasons. Although the game's open environment of The City saw a number of new improvements as a result of the title, it wasn't exactly well received. That was partially due to the city's size, which made it occasionally difficult to navigate. NBA 2K23 will change that, especially now that a new feature has been included. Here's how to use the technique known as "fast travel."

How to fast travel in the city in NBA 2K23

Before this year, getting around the city could be a little challenging. There are a variety of reasons for this, including the fact that the city was fairly big and there was no way to just go somewhere. The only two ways to physically get to a new site were to walk there or utilize a reward like a BMX bike. This will change with NBA 2K23, as 2K has stated in a blog post on Courtside Report.

A handful of new features for The City were verified by 2K in the NBA 2K23 Courtside Report, which was published on September 7. One of them was a confirmation that the city for NBA 2K23 will be 30% smaller than NBA 2K22 and that a fast travel option will be available to instantly go from borough to borough. You must locate a fast-travel train station in the city in order to accomplish this. There are a few of these scattered around NBA 2K23's open environment, and they resemble New York City subway station doors quite a bit.

In NBA 2K23, press either RB (for Xbox) or R1 (for PlayStation) to ping the location closest to your avatar. This will establish a waypoint that is visible from the city. From there, simply follow the arrow to the station, enter it, and you'll be transferred there right away.
