Slime Rancher 2: How to breed Chickadoos from Hen Hens and Roostros

In Slime Rancher 2, you can raise a variety of chickens to feed your slimes and produce plorts that you can sell or use to employ slime science to make new tools. However, gathering them in the wild might be difficult because you have to be fortunate to find them. Consider raising some of your own instead. Here's how to breed Chickadoos in Slime Rancher 2 from Roostros and Hen Hens.

How to make baby chickens from Hen Hens and Roostros

Although chickadoos, or baby chickens as they are known in the game, can be found in the wild, you can set up your conservatory to make it easier for them to come frequently. Go to an empty plot and buy a Coop for 250 bucks first. Your chickens will have a small enclosure with a nest inside once this is done. Avoid being close to slime that consumes meat. They'll leap into the area with the chickens and devour them.

Once you have your Coop, venture out into the world and locate at least one Roostro and one Hen Hen. Hens are less common than Roostros. You might as well take any Chickadoos you discover with you. Bring them to the Coop and wait there. The Hen Hen will occasionally lay Chickadoo eggs in the nest if there is at least one Roostro and one Hen Hen.

Only the adult varieties of Chickadoos will be devoured by Slimes, so you don't need to worry about that. When they mature, they are more likely to become Hen Hens than Roostros. Additionally, you will notice that reproduction will slow down if there are too many hens in the coop. You should remove part of the excess in this situation. Consider purchasing Spring Grass to speed up Chickadoo growth and the Vitamizer to boost egg output as some of the coop enhancements. These will speed up the process of getting additional chickens for feeding your slime.
