Splatoon 3: How to play Salmon Run co-op with friends

Splatoon 3 is a game that is best played with others, with the exception of when you are playing through the single-player story mode. Unlike the last game, we now have a party system that enables you to join a friend in a multiplayer match right away, rather than waiting to join them during a session and hoping to be placed on their team. Salmon Run, which is currently a part of the game permanently, is the same. Here's how to play Salmon Run in Splatoon 3 with your buddies.

How to start a party with friends for Salmon Run in Splatoon 3

In Splatoon 3, you must first unlock the mode by leveling up and then finish the tutorial by speaking with Mr. Grizz inside Grizzco before you may play Salmon Run with your buddies. You will be able to play with your friends once you have completed the onboarding process.

You can play with your friends after you and they have completed the tutorial in a manner akin to that which you would do in the traditional pre-game lobby. Enter Grizzco first, then press L to bring up the Match Menu. You can choose whether to enter matchmaking solo or with friends at the bottom left of the screen. You can choose "With Friends" using your d-pad.

You will now see a choice appear when you select Freelance or Private Job, allowing you to join any online pal. Press Y to start a new room. If you want a password, make sure to include one. You can begin your matchmaking whenever up to four people enter your room, just like in the lobby. By pressing Y when viewing the room details page, you can invite your friends.

Remember that completing a private job will not advance your game progress if you choose to do one. You might not get much experience toward promotion depending on your friend's rank if they are significantly lower than yours.
