The EA Sports NHL community has been requesting roster sharing for years. The feature was added to NHL 22 as part of a post-content update after a very long wait. When NHL 23 comes around, roster sharing is back. Users do have the opportunity to download unique rosters created by the community or post rosters into the database, just as in other sports video games. What are your options, then? How to download and share created rosters in NHL 23
Navigate to NHL 23's Main Menu to begin the procedure. Scroll to the "More" portion of the menu by pressing LB/RB on an Xbox or L1/R1 on a PlayStation. Choose the "Roster Sharing" tab from there. Users will be able to share any personalized rosters they've created here as well as download roster files. Tap the "Get Community Files" button to download the rosters. The creator of the roster, the number of likes and downloads, and any pertinent descriptions are all visible when you browse through the files that have previously been submitted by the NHL community. Clicking X/Square will launch a file search.
Click the "Share Your Files" tab if you have a roster you'd want to share. Users can store their active roster in this way, hit Y or Triangle, and then upload it to the NHL database. By selecting the "Active Rosters" tab, the active roster can be switched.
The 'My Downloads' option also allows users to browse custom rosters that they have downloaded. Go to the tab, choose the roster with the Y/Triangle, and then choose "Apply Roster" to activate one. As a result, the downloaded roster will become the active default roster. Go to "Active Rosters," open it with A/X, and agree to the terms if you wish to return to an official EA Sports roster.
