Stranger Things season 4: release date, trailer and what to expect
Stranger Things season 4 has a trailer that previews what new horrors the gang will face. Netflix premiered the footage on September 25 at their special TUDUM event (TUDUM is a play on the Netflix sound). The trailer, dubbed "Creel House," shows a family moving into a new home, but things rapidly turn bizarre when the two children are found dead on the floor with their father standing over them. Fans are raving about it, but since Covid's production halted, they've had to wait for new episodes.
When will the fourth season of Stranger Things released?
An official release date for the new series has yet to be announced. The only certainty is that the show will air in 2022. Season 3 started in July 2019, but due to the significant delay caused by the Covid outbreak – which, according to the bosses, has made the show even better – the third season is expected to air earlier this year.
'I'll just say that the outbreak probably delayed filming and, as a result, the premiere of our current Season 4,' producer Shawn Levy said.
'However, it had a hugely positive impact by allowing the Duffer brothers to write the entire season before we shot it, for the first time ever, and to revise in a way they had never had before, so the quality of these screenplays is astounding, probably greater than ever.'
What is the plot of Stranger Things Season 4?
Season four will launch in early 2020, according to the show's creators, Matt and Ross Duffer. When it was revealed, they released a statement outlining what fans might expect.
‘We’re happy to formally announce that filming on Stranger Things 4 has begun—and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper!’ the boys stated.
‘However, it is not all good news for our ‘American;’ [Hopper] is imprisoned far from home in the frigid wastes of Kamchatka, Russia, where he will encounter human… and other threats. Meanwhile, back in the United States, a new horror is surfacing, something long buried, something that ties everything together…’
Who is in Stranger Things Season 4's cast?

Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, and Cara Buono are all set to return for season four. Newcomers for the fourth season include Joseph Quinn (Small Axe), Eduardo Franco (Booksmart), and Sherman Augustus (Westworld).

Stranger Things Season 4 release
Stranger Things Season 4 may not appear in 2021, despite the fact that no formal release date has been set. As previously said, the show will return in 2022, as seen in the sneak peek on August 6th. Meanwhile, producer Shawn Levy told THR, "I'll just say that we've been long-delayed, and the Duffers and I want to share season four with the world as badly as the world wants it, part of what's taking time is that season four was built to be by far the most ambitious, cinematic, sprawling, and epic season that we've ever done, long before COVID and the pandemic existed, season four was built to be by far the most ambitious,
"By not just a little – by a lot. So the complexity of season four, even before we had the obstacles, hurdles and challenges of a pandemic, is taking a lot of time because it is super worth the wait."
Finn Wolfhard (Mike) announced earlier this month that filming had been postponed and that the film may not be released until 2022. On a Fanmio video chat, he revealed, "It's absolutely ridiculous to make angry fans wait even longer just because you wanna release it in the same season as in the show. They need to read the room and stop with the fluff cause people don't care anymore."
As a result, fans will have to wait until next year to witness Season 4 of Stranger Things. Keep an eye out!
