Battlefield 2042 base game and Portal maps

Maps are essential components of any first-person shooter, and Battlefield 2042 is no exception. The landscapes in the latest installment of the franchise will be built out differently this year, with various modes and a considerably greater scale than previous games. The player count has doubled in standard Conquest matches, necessitating the use of larger maps. When Battlefield 2042 opens, users will be able to play on seven large-scale maps. There are also a few maps that may be accessed through the Portal component of the game.

Battlefield 2042 contains 13 maps in total, however, they are divided into distinct sections of the game. The base game modes will have seven maps that are unique to the game and were created with the larger modes in mind.

To compensate for the increasing player counts, the battlefields in Battlefield 2042 are substantially larger than those in Conquest or Breakthrough. Because these games may accommodate up to 128 people, several of the objective points are split into two to keep the action moving. Instead of Point B, for example, there are Points B1 and B2.

While the new maps in the game are enormous and capable of supporting a variety of modes, there will only be seven at launch, which may appear small or barely adequate in comparison to previous titles. However, Battlefield 2042's Portal mode will have even more classic maps.
