How to extract in Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone

Hazard Zone is a fresh new mode in Battlefield 2042, and players will need to extract their treasure for the highest rewards. In Hazard Zone, loot is determined by the number of Data Drives a team has, which must be securely removed from the area. Players that want to get the most out of the mode and earn as many Dark Market Credits as possible should extract as much as they can from the Hazard Zone. The process, however, cannot be performed at will, and players will only be able to do so during specific times in Battlefield 2042. Those windows are critical to a successful Hazard Zone extraction.

Managing the extraction windows in Battlefield 2042's Hazard Zone

Hazard Zone is a game designed to be played fast, and while there is the option to stay in the zone longer, the main goal is still to get out. Players will only have two windows to depart with their life or their riches throughout any given match.

First extraction window

They will have a few minutes after entering Hazard Zone to search for Data Drives. The first extraction window will open once you have some loot, and the zone will be marked at a random location on the map. Players will have a few more minutes to get to the extraction zone at this point.

When they arrive, Occupying Forces will attempt to stop them. Occupying Forces are AI-controlled warriors that increase the game's realism. This AI, in combination with human players, has the potential to make the extraction deadly. Each player must be inside the Condor transport if they want to be successful. The run will not count if someone who is holding the Data Drive dies.

Second extraction window

Players who choose to skip the first extraction window will be given a new one. About 11 minutes into the game, or five minutes after the initial extraction opportunity, this window appears.

During the second window, the same rules apply, but players will not get another opportunity. That means the team must either get into the Condor or die attempting to do so. Keep in mind that if the entire team dies in the Hazard Zone, the game is over. Players' weapons are returned and collected when they successfully exit the Hazard Zone.
