Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.3 Patch notes, release date, and changes
If you've been waiting for the upcoming Diablo 2 Resurrected patch, you'll be pleased to learn that Blizzard has set a tentative date of "early December" for a slew of updates that the game has been in desperate need of. While we don't have a definite date, there's no reason to think it won't happen in the first week of next month, barring any huge disasters (which, given Blizzard's recent history, isn't out of the question).
What’s in Diable 2 Resurrected’s next patch?
The key highlights include accessibility enhancements and graphics scaling capabilities. The complete patch notes can be found here on Blizzard's blog, but we've highlighted a few of the most notable features below.
Offline Difficulty Scaling
This is a feature that PC gamers are already aware of, and it's now making its way to consoles. It necessitates a change to your settings, where you can scale things like monster difficulty (default set at 1 for one player, all the way up to eight for eight players). To clarify, if you want Ed to make the creatures as challenging as they are in a four-player game, even though you're the only one playing, you'd set the difficulty to four. Apart from showing off, why would you want to do that? Well, it also enhances the rewards you gain substantially, so it might be worth the risk.
Accessibility and graphical improvements
In both the PC and console versions of the game, audio cues have been added to the menus to assist accessibility.
Graphical improvements
If your PC has a suitable Nvidia GPU, you can now use DLSS to boost graphical performance while preserving GPU performance.
Diablo 2 Resurrected PTR (Public Test Realm)
The game's next step will be the opening of the PTR, which will allow all players to participate in shaping the game's future by testing new features and, at first, the database. When it goes online, we'll provide more information so you can decide if you want to participate in testing.
