Sega new colognes make you smell like a Yakuza or Sonic

Sega is best known for its classic video gaming franchises, but the company is branching out into a new and surprising product category: perfume. I'll admit, I've never thought I needed gamer fragrance, but wouldn't it be lovely to smell like Kiryu from the Yakuza series, or, umm... Sonic the Hedgehog?

Numskull Designs currently has three colognes on the market. The smell notes of the ancient oak, cedarwood, beeswax soaked with smoky bourbon, leathery rose, and pimiento in the "Bourbon and Smoke" cologne, inspired by Yakuza, including ancient oak, cedarwood, beeswax, and beeswax imbued with smoky bourbon, leathery rose, and pimiento. It's described as having a "deep and mysterious odor," which sounds enticing.

The "Tobacco and Gold" fragrance, with notes of cardamom, bergamot, golden tobacco, orris, sage, and patchouli, is supposed to scent "rebellious and addicting" for fans of the Shenmue games.

Last but not least, there's the Sonic fragrance. Because the product description only claims that Sonic gave this his "stamp of approval," I believe this isn't supposed to smell like Sonic. Fresh citrus, grapefruit zest, lemon and lime, melon fade, leather, suede, cedar, and "an ocean breeze" are among the scent's notes.

It's always fascinating to see how official video game merchandise evolves. It could be some great clothing or a statue, or it could be something a little more unusual, like a fragrance. You could be shopping for a present for the holidays, and if you know someone who wants a Sonic-approved scent, this is the perfect place to start.

In any case, the colognes aren't Sega's craziest cross-over; Kiryu recently appeared as a playable character in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania.
