Spider-Man: No Way Home gets a new poster referencing four villains

Spider-Man: No Way Home is still the most talked-about film on the internet. No one believes the live-action Spider-Verse is actually occurring, with villains from every era of Spider-Man returning to the big screen. We now know that four major Spider-Man foes are returning according to a new poster.

The first is the most obvious: Doctor Octopus' arms are reaching out to Peter Parker. We already know Alfred Molina will return as the bad guy, as the character made a huge appearance in the first official trailer.

Green Goblin can also be seen riding his hovercraft in the backdrop if you look closely. That appears to be Willem Dafoe's version of the bomb-throwing opponent, and while nothing has been confirmed, we expect Tobey Maguire's first genuine villain to make an appearance in No Way Home.

A lightning bolt appears next to Green Goblin, an obvious reference to Jamie Foxx's Electro, who has long been known to be in the film. Then there's a sandstorm behind Spider-Man, which is an homage to Thomas Haden Church's nemesis Sandman from Spider-Man 3. That is the first time he is mentioned in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

So far, we've got four villains, but we'll need six for a Sinister Six! Who knows who else might show up. There are a few possibilities, but given that we've already seen foes from all three films in Sam Raimi's trilogy, as well as The Amazing Spider-Man 2, it'd make sense for one of the remaining two to be from Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man. This lends credence to rumours that Lizard, played by Rhys Ifans, will make an appearance.

The director of Spider-Man: No Way Home could choose from any of Tom Holland's flicks for the final member of the bad squad, including Venom, who appeared in the MCU in the Venom 2 post-credits sequence. To discover out, we'll have to wait until December 17th, when No Way Home finally hits theatres.
