Genshin Impact: Shadow of the Ancients Phase 2 guide

The second part of the Shadow of the Ancients activities organized by Genshin Impact has begun. The second phase is more combat-oriented than the first, which was centered on exploration. To charge gadgets using Electro damage, you'll need to return to the four spots you visited during the first step. Waves of opponents will collapse at the same moment, attempting to destroy the devices.

Once the event begins, there will be three gadgets for each challenge. To charge the devices, you should use Electro characters. Each task will last three minutes, and you must fully charge each device before the timer runs out. Because the devices will lose charge over time, you must apply Electro to them on a regular basis.

Be cautious, as waves of adversaries will swarm the gadgets in an attempt to destroy them. If you allow this to happen, you will fail the task. It'll be challenging to manage your time because you'll need to reapply charge while fighting the adversaries.

Recommended Characters

Fischl is the event's queen, with her Charged Attack quickly charging up all of the devices. Her Charged Attack shoots a bolt of lightning at the devices, allowing you to quickly reapply charge. The Fischl was given away for free during the start of the game, thus most early players will have one. However, if you don't have this character, you can attempt the following characters:

Kujou Sara is another Electro bow character, therefore she, like Fischl, can deal Electro harm to the characters. Both Keqing and Raiden Shogun acquire Electro infusions from various elements of their kit in their attacks. Razor is also useful, as his Elemental Burst deals Electro damage.

Data Sampling locations

Select Data Sampling from the Event page. When you click the places, you'll be able to see the locations of the data sample and navigate to them with ease. You will receive 40 Primogems, as well as a range of talent materials and Mora, for every Sampling Point you earn. Make sure you finish them all!

Special Sampling Points are also now available. The positions of the Sampling Points can be found by clicking the bottom-left corner. These points work in the same way as the first day, but you won't get any Primogems for them. Instead, Mora and Weapon Enhancement Ores will be given to you.
