Final Fantasy XIV Chi FATE: How to Get the Level Checker Mount

The Level Checker mount is one of the most elusive things in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker, and it can only be obtained by completing the difficult Chi FATE. While accomplishing a FATE may appear to be a simple undertaking, this particular FATE does not appear very often. It only emerges once every 48 hours, prompting players to wait for hours and hours for it to appear. Aside from the Extreme mounts, the Level Checker mount is one of the rarest equipment currently available in Endwalker, yet it is possible to obtain with enough commitment. In Final Fantasy XIV, here's how to earn the Level Checker mount.

Where Can I Get a Level Checker Mount?

All you have to do to get the Level Checker is trade 12 Chi Bolts to Nesvaaz in Radz-at-Han (X:10.6, Y:10.0). Simply ask the dealer for the Level Checker Identification Key and choose "Out of This World Oddities" from the menu. Simply locate the key in your inventory and use it to obtain the mount once you've purchased it. The technique is simple enough, but getting the Chi Bolts is another matter.

Chi Bolts may only be obtained by completing Omicron Recall: Killing Order, a rare FATE. You'll have to be extremely patient and lucky to find this FATE, as it only spawns once every 48 hours. To make matters worse, the FATE only awards a maximum of 6 Chi Bolts, requiring you to finish it at least twice in order to obtain the Level Checker mount.

Where to Find the Chi FATE in Final Fantasy XIV

Because of its titular boss adversary, Omicron Recall: Killing Order is known by most players as the Chi FATE. It spawns on The Lost Hydraulic platform in Ultima Thule, a small square region to the northeast of the Base Omicron Aetheryte. To get there, you'll need to have flying unlocked. On the map below, you can see its exact location.

Because most players can't wait the entire 48 hours for Chi to spawn, there are a few techniques you can use to make things easy for yourself. Faloop is an excellent tool for tracking rare FATES spawn rates. Simply choose your Data Center and World, and the site will calculate the likelihood of Chi spawning. You can also join the Centurio Hunts Discord community, where people will alert you about unusual FATEs such as Omicron Recall: Killing Order as soon as they occur.

Before you can play Omicron Recall, you must fulfill two necessary FATEs: The Killing Order will make an appearance. They're both called Omicron Recall, and they can be started by speaking to N-0265 in Base Omicron. However, because other players are likely to have taken care of those previously, you can simply head to the platform and wait with the rest of the players.

Killing Order is the best way to find Omicron Recall.

Unfortunately, if you want a chance at Chi, you'll probably have to wait a long time. While it's customary to wait a few minutes before pulling the boss to allow more players to arrive, there's always that one individual who pulls the boss too soon and destroys the experience for everyone. It's easiest to use Faloop to locate a World where Chi's spawn window is only a few hours away, and then simply wait with the rest of the players until it appears.

Waiting for Omicron Recall: Killing Order is a social event, so soon you arrive at the platform, join a party. To find a party, you can use the Party Finder or simply say something in Shout chat. This not only makes the wait more comfortable, but it also connects you with healers who can resurrect you if you die during the battle. Setting your Home Point to the nearby Aetheryte at Base Omicron is also a good idea just in case.
