Final Fantasy XIV: How to beat The Magus Sisters in Tower of Zot
The last battle in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker expansion's Tower of Zot confronts you against all three of The Magus Sisters, combining the two prior confrontations you've had. When the three Magus Sisters operate together, the attacks and spells can be complicated, but understanding their rotation and how each magic works is crucial. In this guide, we'll show you how to defeat The Magus Sisters in Final Fantasy XIV's Tower of Zot.
After Cinduruva takes some damage at the beginning of the fight, they summon Minduruva and Sanduruva to help them. It's crucial to understand that your group must first fight Cinduruva, as if you defeat Sanduruva or Minduruva, Cinduruva will revive them. As a result, you should concentrate on Cinduruva and ignore the other two.
The sisters launch a tremendous AoE strike as their first attack. There are three types of attacks, and you can predict which one will happen depending on what they say to each other. The three large AoE spells are broken down as follows.
- When they say this, a pinwheel attack appears in front of them, akin to Minduruva's Blizzard III attack, and it rotates to the southwest corner of the map. To avoid these attacks, make your way to the entrance while dodging the straight line AoE attacks that cut across the chamber. Return to the back of the room near Cinduruva once you and your party approach the entrance to avoid a big AoE ice rock that lands at the entrance.
- Consume our foe with insatiable flame; This attack is a big AoE fire assault that sweeps over the entire room, with a safe spot in the center. Rush to the center to avoid it, but the sisters will launch AoE line attacks at you, scattering you.
- After the first attack, however, a second full-room fire AoE attack will erupt, which you must rush towards. It will not be at the room's center. A purple arrow will appear over the heads of all teammates, signifying an imminent AoE assault. Wait for the core of the fire strike to pass, then scatter.
- Smite our foe, thunderous tempest; During this attack, large lightning bolt AoE assaults will erupt on the ground, and smaller AoE attacks will appear around these circles, which you must avoid. During this time, thick AoE lines will develop on the ground that you must avoid, causing you and your friends to disperse among the hits.
Those are the three key AoE attacks used by The Magus Sisters throughout the battle. The first one is usually the Blizzard attack, and after that, your tank should concentrate on Cinduruva, who will be accompanied by Sanduruva. Sanduruva will use his Prapti Siddhi line AoE attack on any party members, however, it will not slow down, letting everyone avoid it. Minduruva will utilize their spells to focus on the tank at the same time, but these assaults are substantially weaker than the spells they used earlier in the encounter.
The Magus Sisters will utter one of the three words after conducting these attacks for a short time, dealing with their AoE attack, before reverting to their normal routine of attacking the party. This rotation should be maintained throughout the battle until Cinduruva has been defeated.
After you've conquered Cinduruva, you'll be focusing your efforts on Sanduruva and Minduruva. Sanduruva will begin using her Mayusai Berserk spell, which you should avoid, and Minduruva will begin utilizing their spells. You'll have completed this battle, beaten The Magus Sisters, and completed the Tower of Zot after beating the final boss.
