To commemorate the Chinese New Year, two new Lantern Rite skins have been released. Here's all we know so far about Genshin Impact's Fleeting Colors in Flight event, including the start time.

Genshin Impact Fleeting Colors in Flight event start date

The Genshin Impact Fleeting Colors in Flight event will be rerun in the Version 2.4 update, which is set to be released on January 5, 2022. With Chinese New Year falling on February 1, 2022, you may expect it in the second half of the update, following the release of two new Liyue characters, Shenhe and Yun Jin.

Ningguang's skin (Orchid's Evening Gown/纱中幽兰) can be obtained for free by completing Lantern Rite events. Keqing's skin (Opulent Splendor/霓裾翩跹) can be purchased with Genesis Crystals.

Ningguang & Keqing Lantern Rite skins

For the Lantern Rite event, which commemorates the Chinese New Year, Ningguang and Keqing will receive new skins. The skin of Ningguang is said to be called Orchid Evening Gown, although no photographs of it have surfaced. Complete objectives during the Fleeting Colors in Flight event to get it for free, such as Barbara's Summertime Sparkle skin from the Midsummer Island Adventure.

Opulent Splendor, Keqing's skin, has allegedly leaked, with the Yuheng of Liyue Qixing decorating a festival dress. It, like Jean's Sea Breeze Dandelion skin, will be purchased using Genesis Crystals.

Fleeting Colors in Flight quests & rewards

Like last year's Xiao event, Genshin Impact's Fleeting Colors in Flight event is anticipated to have a complete event path. Players will follow Liyue's characters through a journey that will culminate in a major event. According to sources, Guyun Stone Forest will have wave rider minigames as well as a new boss fight with a three-headed hydra.

As a reward for completing the event-related objectives, players will receive coins to spend in the "Afterglow Market." A Crown of Insight, as well as a free four-star Liyue character from Beidou, Chongyun, Ningguang, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Xinyan, Yanfei, and the new Yun Jin, are said to be available.
