India's Harnaaz Sandhu crowned Miss Universe 2021
On Monday morning, the 70th Miss Universe pageant was held in Eilat, Israel. Paraguay, India, and South Africa were the top three finalists. Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu of India was crowned Miss Universe 2021. The Top 3 finalists were asked in the final round what advice they would provide to all women watching the tournament. Miss India Harnaaz, Miss South Africa, and Miss Paraguay all replied correctly, bringing the competition's rounds to a close. Finally, the winners were declared, and Miss Mexico's crown was handed over to Miss India.
Miss Paraguay was the first runner-up, and Miss South Africa was the second runner-up. The entire stadium erupted in applause when Steve Harvey presented Miss India Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu as the winner. As soon as Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu's name was revealed as the victor, she burst into tears. Harnaaz was crowned Miss Universe 2021 by Miss Mexico Andrea Meza. Harnaaz made it to the Top 16 when the competition started on Monday morning, and she was in the Top 10 following the swimsuit round.
Harnaaz added that the advise she would like to give young ladies is to believe in themselves during the last round of questioning. "She stated," she said "The most significant demand on today's youngsters is to believe in themselves. Knowing that you are one-of-a-kind makes you lovely. Stop comparing yourself to others and instead focus on the more pressing issues that are affecting the planet. You are the leader of your life, so come out and speak for yourself. You are your own person with your own voice. I had faith in myself, and that is why I am here now."
She was asked to persuade people who believe Climate Change is a hoax otherwise in an earlier question-and-answer round. In response to the question, she stated that rather than repent and repair, one must act. Each round's points were totaled, and the votes were counted at the end. Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned Miss Universe 2021 as a result of this.
In October, the model actress was crowned Miss Universe India 2021. Harnaaz first entered a beauty contest in 2017 with Times Fresh Face. The diva, who is 21 years old, is now working on her Master's degree in Public Administration. She has won several pageants, including Femina Miss India Punjab 2019. She's also appeared in a number of Punjabi films.
Harnaaz talks about her preparations for representing India in the Miss Universe competition during an interview at Times Fresh Face 2021. "I believe I am the only candidate who has had the least amount of time to prepare, but the team has been working hard to produce the best version out of India," says the contender. And I'm getting a lot of training, whether it's in communication or confidently putting myself out there. I guarantee that you will enjoy the process — all of your efforts will not be in vain."
Miss Universe 2021, congratulations!
