God of War: How To Get Greater Crest of Flame

The Greater Crest of Flame is one of God of War's most difficult resources to obtain, but it can also be used to improve some of the best armor. The Great Crest of Flame, like several of the other rare materials in God of War, isn't something Kratos and Atreus can locate in Midgard, and it's also not on the main story's path. Instead, players will have to search the extra places in God of War for items such as the Greater Crest of Flame.

The Gauntlets of the Valkyrie and the Muspelheim Eye of Power enchantment utilized in the Shattered Gauntlet of Ages are two artifacts that can be upgraded with the Greater Crest of Flame. The Shattered Gauntlet of Ages is essentially God of War's equivalent of the Infinity Gauntlet, and it will delight Marvel Cinematic Universe fans. Given that the Muspelheim Eye of Power enchantment is the MCU's God of War counterpart of the Power Stone, the Greater Crest of Flame should be one of the most difficult materials to get.

Players must first acquire the ability to go to Muspelheim via the Bifrost Bridge on the Lake of Nine before they may obtain the Greater Crest of Flame. While God of War contains seven Muspelheim cypher sites, players only need to locate four of them before entering the region of fire and brimstone. The Muspelheim cyphers are simple to locate, and four of the seven can be discovered before arriving at Mimir on the Mountain. Four of the seven ciphers can be found at The Mountain, Cliffs of the Raven, Forgotten Cavers, and Alfheim, allowing easy entrance to Muspelheim.

God Of War: How To Farm The Great Crest Of Flame

Once players reach Muspelheim in God of War, farming the Greater Crest of Flame will take some time. Kratos and Atreus must first defeat five Muspelheim trials in their normal and hard variants. In God of War, players will have to defeat a Valkyrie named Gondul. Gondul is Muspelheim's sixth and final trial, and she, like the other Valkyries, will be one of the most difficult obstacles Kratos and Atreus will face.

Players will finally be able to complete the "impossible" variations of the Muspelheim Trials when Gondul has been defeated. After completing an impossible Muspelheim Trial, players will receive a key to Surtr's Hidden Trials in the same spot where they first battled Gondul. Surtr's Hidden Trials, unlike earlier Muspelheim trials, use a bronze, silver, and gold ranking system. Finally, players will receive Greater Crest of Flame if they place second in Surtr's Hidden Trials.

In God of War's New Game Plus mode, players who farm Greater Crest of Flame will be able to take the material with them. The Muspelheim Trials, on the other hand, will reappear if players choose to acquire all of the cyphers during their second game. Players will get the Gauntlets of Zeus for killing Gondul in New Game Plus as well, thus clearing the Muspelheim trials during the new God of War game will net them even more goodies.
