God of War: How To Get Dragon Tears
Players will encounter multiple dragons during Kratos and Atreus' adventure in God of War, and by liberating these ancient monsters, Kratos will win Dragon Tears, strong components needed in crafting and upgrades. To free a dragon, players must find and destroy three shrines linked to the device that prevents the dragon from fleeing. Keep in mind that after the player arrives at these unique spots in God of War, the region may be guarded by opponents.
Otr, the first dragon, is held captive in Veithurgard. After landing at the Lake of Nine, players must free a wheel mechanism near Stone Falls to activate a massive gate. Atreus' lightning arrows can be used by Kratos to get the equipment moving. Once players get in Veithurgard's ruins by boat, they can proceed to the dragon's confinement. Approach the area with caution, as Otr will erupt in rage near the door to his cage, spewing explosive fire and lighting. To rescue the dragon, Kratos must first go through the main site, then explore the ruins, fight various enemy mobs, and demolish three shrines.
Fafnir is the next dragon imprisoned in the Valkyries' Council. Head to the docking location to the west of Alfeim Tower while rowing the boat. Players may detect where they can get off while exploring this location in God of War by looking for a short climbable ledge obscured by red crystalline rubble. With Atreus' lighting arrows, break away the rock and continue along the route to a door. Players will meet the next dragon after opening the door. Players must scour the site for Fafnir and destroy any of the three shrines that come across their path. Fafnir is enraged by his incarceration and will continue to blow fire near Kratos. Use the closest cover to hide and wait out his rage during these occasions. After destroying all of the shrines, players can free Fafnir and collect their Dragon Tear.
Where To Find Dragon Tears In God Of War
Regine, a beast imprisoned in Konunsgard, is the third brother of the trapped dragons. Kratos must have received the Favor, "Hail to the King," from Sindri and Brok in order to access this dragon side character in God of War. Players will arrive at a closed door after passing through various caverns. Continue down the right-hand road until you reach Regina. To get a third Dragon Tear, destroy the totems that are holding the dragon down.
It's worth noting that in order to find the dragons, players must proceed through the main storey and accomplish various side tasks. While completing the tale of God of War, players can also find a Tear from Baldur's dead dragon.
