NBA 2K22: How to achieve Legend status in The City

As we previously reported in our coverage of NBA 2K22, Seasons have been added to this year's game by 2K Sports and the franchise's development staff. Seasons work similarly to those in FIFA and MLB The Show, in that they are timed events with rewards that are only available for a limited period. Seasons have allowed the NBA 2K team to introduce new features to The City and MyTeam throughout time, and a new one, Legend status, was added to 2K22 in January.

Since the start of Season 4 on January 14, legend status has been added to NBA 2K22. To become a Legend, players must reach Level 40 in the open-world environment over the course of four seasons. This was confirmed in a blog post on the NBA 2K Courtside Report on January 12.

It would have been impossible to achieve Legend status before the start of Season 4, which is planned for January 14. That isn't the case any longer.
