OnePlus 10 release date, price, news, and more

The OnePlus 10 could be released soon. The OnePlus 10 Pro has already been released, however only in China. So far, we've learned everything there is to know about that phone, but this hub is only for the regular OnePlus 10 - a device that has eluded us thus far.

The Samsung Galaxy S22, Xiaomi 12, and Oppo Find X4 are projected to be close competitors and contemporaries of this future premium smartphone. But the OnePlus 10 is yet to be confirmed, and it hasn't even been publicly leaked, which is uncommon for such a high-profile device, especially given that we expect it to arrive soon.

OnePlus 10 release date and price

There's no word on when the OnePlus 10 will be released, but the OnePlus 10 Pro was released on January 11 in China only, so we expect the ordinary model to follow suit. Perhaps it will be revealed with the global debut of the OnePlus 10 Pro, which is expected to take place in March or April. Because the OnePlus 9 series was introduced in March, our best prediction is around or around that month.

While that may be when we see the OnePlus 10 in the United States and the United Kingdom, the business does not sell its phones in Australia, so don't expect a release there. Price-wise, the OnePlus 9 started at $729 / £629 (about AU$940) for the lowest-spec base model, so the OnePlus 10 could start at a similar level.

Of course, the new phone could change the pricing a little, but since the OnePlus 10 doesn't appear to be a major overhaul, we don't expect a significant change.

Display and design

We haven't seen the OnePlus 10 yet, but according to one report, the design will be very similar to the 9-series counterparts, with a few tweaks here and there. That's hardly surprising given that OnePlus phones don't have the most radical designs in the world. However, we do know how the OnePlus 10 Pro looks, and the ordinary OnePlus 10 might very well look the same. In the two photographs below, you can see how the OnePlus 10 Pro appears.

On the back of the phone is a Hasselblad-branded camera module that curves out from the aluminum chassis. The notification slider is adjacent to the camera bump, and the power button is just below it on the same side. The 10 Pro is available in black or green.

There's no word on the screen, however, the OnePlus 10 Pro features a screen that looks quite similar to the OnePlus 10, so it's possible that the OnePlus 10 will as well. In such a situation, a 6.55-inch 1080 x 2400 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate may be used.

Camera and battery

We don't know much about the camera on the ordinary OnePlus 10, but the OnePlus 9 featured nearly identical cameras to the OnePlus 9 Pro, without the telephoto lens, so the same might be said for the OnePlus 10 and 10 Pro, and we already know what cameras they have.

There's a 48MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 150-degree field-of-view, and an 8MP telephoto camera, with the latter being the least likely to be included in the OnePlus 10. Based on previous experience, the front-facing camera might be the same, which would entail a 32MP sensor.

Many of the modes and features are likely to remain the same, including a Fisheye mode, an improved Pro mode, a RAW+ format (which essentially combines the RAW format's editing potential with OnePlus' computational photography), and Master Style mode, which allows you to shoot in various visual styles tuned by pro photographers.

We don't know how large the OnePlus 10's battery will be, but it's likely to be the same as the OnePlus 10 Pro's, which is 5,000mAh. We're not sure if the charging power will be the same at 80W.

Specifications and features

We know that the OnePlus 10 Pro, as well as the ordinary OnePlus 10, will employ Qualcomm's top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. This is the successor to the Snapdragon 888, and it will likely power many of the year's top Android phones. We also know that the OnePlus 10 Pro will have fast LPDDR5 RAM, NFC, and will run Android 12 with OxygenOS 12.

The OnePlus 10 is anticipated to be the same in all situations, but this hasn't been confirmed. The RAM levels might also be the same, implying up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The phone is also expected to enable 5G, which hasn't been confirmed but is expected to be a common feature in the line.
