Rainbow Six Extraction: How to destroy Tormentor projectiles with firearms

To use guns to destroy Tormentor projectiles in Rainbow Six Extraction, you must first locate a Tormentor. While they're very abundant on the Cautious Threat Level in the San Francisco area, this Study objective must be fulfilled in Alaska, where we didn't see any Tormentors on Cautious but did on Severe. How to destroy Tormentor projectiles with firearms

The normal, green, fast-moving projectiles of a Tormentor cannot be destroyed. You must wait for a Tormentor to unleash one of its huge, slow-moving projectiles, which resembles a gelatinous blob, in order to achieve this objective. They don't fire them very often, but if you survive a firefight with a Tormentor long enough, it will eventually fire one. To destroy it, simply shoot it once with any gun.

How to kill or assist stunned Tormentors

Use Ela or Sledge to complete this Study objective, or include Stun Grenades in your loadout. When a Tormentor is moving in its Sprawl form, no attack will impact it, so wait for it to emerge and levitate before using a stun attack. After that, either take it out with a headshot or go in for a takedown. You must either be extremely fast or use collaboration, in which one Operator executes the stun and another conducts the kill.

How to damage Tormentors with explosives

To achieve this Study objective, you do not need to kill a Tormentor, but you must inflict harm on Tormentors twice. The special abilities of Hibana and Fuze, as well as Fragmentation Grenades and Nitro Cells, are useful for achieving this goal. Because Tormentors only move in Sludge form, which does not set them off, Claymores are ineffective.
