Sea of Thieves Fireworks and Signal Flares Explained

Fireworks and signal flares, like food and planks, are collected inventory items. Large quantities of either can be hidden in cannonball barrels, supply crates, and fireworks crates, and a limited number of these consumables can be carried on your pirate person.

Colorful displays of fireworks erupt. Others form shapes in the sky, such as mermaids, skulls, and a huge R. Some merely sparkle in various hues as they rain down; others form shapes in the sky, such as mermaids, skulls, and a big R. (in the shape of the Rare logo). Fireworks are mostly used for aesthetic purposes.

Signal flares are more specifically designed. Signal flares produce a single ball of colored light that lasts for a long time. This is excellent for illuminating islands at night or alerting anything to everyone within visual range.

Some of these consumables are already onboard your ship, but others can be found in barrels scattered across the Sea of Thieves. You may rapidly load your pockets with pyrotechnics by searching any of the supply barrels, especially those near outposts. Look in rowboats and containers as well.

You can also buy fireworks crates from the Merchant Alliance agent on the docks of any Outpost, but not signal flares. Creates come in a variety of themes, each with inventories that burst into shapes that match the theme. The crates are pricey at 20,000 gold each, but can you put a figure on beauty?

Fireworks containers will also wash up on the beaches of various locations and in the holds of shipwrecks at random. If you keep your eyes peeled while traveling, you will most likely stumble across several.

You load fireworks and signal flares into cannons to use them. Fireworks, on the other hand, comes with a fuse, unlike cannonballs, which fire instantly. Walk up to the cannon, holding your chosen munition in your hand. To load the cannon, follow the prompts and hit fire to light the fuse. The cannon shoots using the firecracker or flare once the fuse has burned out.
