You must steal a Map Bundle from another crew and place it on your own map table to accomplish the Stolen Secrets Commendation in Sea of Thieves. There are a few options for doing so.

For most pirates, the best way to earn the Stolen Secrets commendation is to engage in some good old-fashioned PVP. Sail until you come across another crew, sink them, and steal their map bundle as it floats to the surface. Isn't it straightforward? In a way, yes.

Sinking other pirate ships for the Stolen Secrets award is risky business, as there's no guarantee that other ships will have a map package on board. You also risk sinking your own ship (how arrogant!). With a more stealthy method, savvy pirates can retrieve map packages. Tucking is the art of slipping onboard another ship undetected in Sea of Thieves.

Keep an eye on the journey table if you manage to do so. It will be sitting there if the "donor" crew has a map bundle. You can approach the package and grab it. It isn't the worst idea to ask via the speaking horn or chat. Members of the Alliance can also be the source of stolen maps. It's a win-win situation!

Simply get your hands on another crew's map bundle and place it on your table, regardless of how you do it. You'll receive the Stolen Secrets commendation as a result, and you can now go dig up their riches.
