Where is a Rooter’s weak point in Rainbow Six Extraction

The weak point of a Rooter in Rainbow Six Extraction is its neck, therefore if you want to kill one with one shot, aim for its neck. Rooters, on the other hand, walk around on all fours with their heads dipped forward, so their faces are normally hidden behind their necks, making it far more difficult to attack their weak areas than Grunts, Spikers, Bloaters, or Breachers.

It's possible to sneak up behind or to the side of a Rooter and fire it in its weak spot, but it's not simple. Rooters roam around a lot and are adept at spotting you if you don't kill them quickly enough. When playing co-op, you may be able to fire a Rooter's weak point when it is distracted by a squadmate.

Stunning or, better yet, paralyzing a Rooter before attacking it with its weak place is the best technique to kill it. Run at a Rooter as soon as you notice one, throwing a Stun Grenade, Grzmot Mine, or Paralysis Grenade along the way.  

Before it recovers, go around one side of the Rooter and shoot it in the neck. If you need to stun a Rooter for a Study objective, this is how to achieve it, but if you're going to stun it anyhow, we recommend doing a melee Takedown, which is easier than aiming at the neck.
