In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the Alpha Pokémon you encounter are the largest and most powerful members of that species in the area. They'll put up a good fight, and if you come across one in the wild, you'll have to balance your chances of defeating or even catching them. While catching Alpha Pokémon is a challenge and a possibility in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, can Alpha Pokémon be shiny?

We can confirm that the shiny variant of Alpha Pokémon has a chance to spawn in your game. It comes infrequently, and when it does, you'll want to hope that you've raised your Star Rank with the Galaxy Expedition team to the point where you can capture it. Alpha Pokémon are difficult to catch, but you do have a chance if you have enough Star Ranks. A conventional one, on the other hand, has a slim probability of being caught.

We came upon a gleaming Alpha Hippowdon in the wild during our game. These Pokémon are far more aggressive than their ordinary counterparts, so if you spot a shiny Alpha, go out of your way to catch it. Even if you aren't always successful, it isn't a bad idea to pursue them. Alternatively, by completing 10 research jobs for a Pokémon or having Perfect Research for a Pokémon in your Pokédex, you can boost your chances of obtaining shiny Pokémon.
