God of War: All of the realms and regions

To correspond with the massive Norse mythology on which the game is based, God of War takes place in several places or kingdoms. Kratos, on the other hand, cannot enter every realm in the myths, even if they are all mentioned in the game at some time.

The original Norse tales describe nine different realms, and each one is present in the 2018 God of War soft reboot. However, some of those realms may have been kept for the Ragnarok sequel, as only roughly 6 of the realms named in the game are accessible.

When players ultimately gain access to the game's world tree, they will be able to see all of the possible worlds in the Norse world. Everything that the Bifrost can access is selectable, but there are three items that are glaringly absent from the list. The following is a complete list of the realms that are available in the game.

• Alfheim
• Helheim
• Jotunheim
• Muspelheim
• Niflheim

Svartalfheim, Asgard, and Vanaheim are three worlds or areas that are missing. Because Asgard and Vanaheim are tied to distinct types of gods, it's understandable that they'd be closed off until the 2022 sequel game. Svartalfheim is the domain of the dark elves, who are at odds with the light elves of Alfheim. When Ragnarok is released, the war could be another plot component.

Not all of the regions offered in the game are created equal. Jotunheim isn't much of a region, and it's only seen for a few minutes as the game winds down. The other three are whole areas, but Niflheim and Muspelheim are minor territories focused on difficulties or trials.

The true regions of God of War

Midgard, Helheim, and Alfheim are the three words that define the 2018 game. Midgard is the largest of the three, and it is where most of the game will take place. There are other smaller regions to discover, particularly within Midgard.

There are several minor districts in Alfheim and Helheim as well, but they are not quite as extensive as Midgard. Regardless, they have their own story to tell and a lot of territories to explore.
