Windjammers 2: How to unlock Disc Man

The sequel to Windjammers has finally come. Once you've gone through the game's steep learning curve and figured out how to play it properly, you'll be thinking about which character to play in Arcade Mode against online or offline opponents. It turns out that there's one more character on the selecting screen than the usual ten.

Disc Man serves as a sort of mascot for the frisbee-throwing sequel, and unlocking him is rather straightforward. Simply rotate the left thumbstick of whichever controller you're using from the character pick screen - you're simulating the spinning of a disc, see? After a few rotations, Disc Man will appear from behind the character selection columns, breaking the fourth wall (as shown below). You can then select him by moving the cursor over him.

This strategy works in all three game modes: online, arcade, and multiplayer. If both players choose Disc Man from the selection screen, you can even set up local mirror matches. His Power Disc shot is in line with his funny design, flying in a zigzag pattern that leaves a trail of bubbles, while his Speed Disc shot is in line with his crazy design, flying in a zigzag pattern that leaves behind a trail of bubbles.

There's also the charming touch of Disc Man's flag featuring Windjammer's trademark disc, rather than representing a specific country. Overall, he's a fairly cool hidden character who's not difficult to find. Just keep in mind that you'll have to use the spin method every time; he doesn't stay on the choice screen and must be prompted each time you want to select him.
