According to Patently Apple, Apple's Cupertino headquarters has received a new patent application from the US Patent and Trademark Office, indicating that the AirPods Max 2 will be released soon.

A method for processing movements on a touch-sensitive surface is shown in the patent, which might be employed in future headphones. The AirPods Max 2 will include touch controls. The patent describes how to read motions on a touch-sensitive surface, implying that touch controls will be included in Apple's next-generation headphones.

Customers can now adjust the volume and control music on the AirPods Max using the digital crown. The AirPods Max's digital crown is a one-of-a-kind and creative design option.
