Destiny 2: How to switch weapon parts and reshape weapons
Crafting was introduced to Destiny 2's The Witch Queen expansion, bringing up a whole new world of possibilities for you to explore when it comes to how you use your arsenal. There are many weapons to make and try out, but you may wish to alter a crafted weapon after you've finished it if it's not working out. This article will show you how to modify weapons and swap weapon parts in Destiny 2.
You'll be able to do this with any Enclave-crafted weaponry you've already made. Only when you've completed The Witch Queen expansion and created your first weapon, The Enigma, will you be able to do so. Any weapons you construct and make in the Enclave can then be remade if you want to make improvements to them.
You must return to the Enclave, which you can do by visiting Savathûn's Throne World and clicking on The Enclave. After that, head over to the Relic and interact with it, and the option to Reshape a Weapon will appear on the right side.
You'll see all of the changes you've applied to a weapon there, and if you hover over them, you can swap them out for ones you've earned by leveling them up and using them in combat. Reshaping any weapon in Destiny 2 requires resources, so make sure you have plenty on hand. You'll have to return to the Enclave every time you wish to alter a weapon.
