Horizon Forbidden West: How to capture the Greypeak Survey Drone

There are ten Survey Drones strewn across the Forbidden West. To bring each of these drones down and retrieve its module, you must find a way up to higher terrain while avoiding other hazards. For some, this is a simple task. Others may find that the machines in the region are a death sentence if they are not prepared. In Horizon Forbidden West, this is how you capture the Greypeak Survey Drone.

The Survey Drone can be found between the Stand of the Sentinels Tallneck and The Memorial Grove in the snow-covered mountains. The drone flies about a Slaughterspine Site if you have the region uncovered. When visiting this region, exercise extreme caution.

When you get in the region, you will almost certainly encounter a Slaughterspine. If you haven't yet encountered one of these terrifying animals, you should be aware that if you aren't prepared, they can quickly kill you.

If you wind up being seen, make sure to use the environment in your favor to either avoid damage or flee. Examine the cliff in the region where the drone flies. On the top, there is a platform from which you can jump out to the drone. It'll be a long walk, so make sure you're not observed by a machine before you begin.
