Lost Ark: How to get a free pet

Pets are more than just adorable companions in Raiders of Lost Ark. They can give players a variety of boons and services to empower them and make their lives easier. You should be prepared to pay a premium for such a lovely friend. However, heroes who are entering the Lost Ark for the first time will receive a free pet.

Running around Arkesia with a pet has one huge advantage: it will pick up your loot for you. And any pet in the game, whether purchased or won, is capable of doing so. This may not appear to be much at this point. However, when you fight a boss and get a lot of treasure, or when you're farming monsters quickly, it saves you a lot of time and effort. It's merely a convenience that's quite useful.

How to get a free pet in Lost Ark

Getting your first pet is a simple process. And it may be done in the town of Prideholme early on in the game. You wake up in the Prideholme Inn after completing the quest "Demons in Prideholme" (the one with fire and demons running rampant in the town). In the lower half of your screen, there is an orange button to accept a guide task.

Accepting this rewards you with a purple quest and directs you to Blueberry. She's outside the inn on the southwest side of the square. You'll need to complete a few simple quest tasks, which will also teach you about the advantages of having pets.

Then you'll be directed to speak with Working Achatemeow, the Pet Management NPC in the square's middle, directly in front of the lion statue. Achatemeow explains what pets are capable of. After that, you'll receive a free White Bunny pet. That's how you receive your first free pet in Ark: Survival Evolved. Your account now has access to the Bunny. As a result, it can be used by all of your characters.

If you're reading this tutorial before the game launches, you can get a couple of free dogs by watching Twitch streamers. From February 8 to 11, you can unlock a free Saphia Pet Chest by watching Crown Channel at 8 p.m. ET every evening. To unlock the pet, you must watch for a total of four hours. You can also earn the Helgaia Pet Chest and other rewards by watching streamers as part of the Legends of Lost Ark event.

Paying for pets

A pet is included in the Lost Ark Founder's Packs for those who purchased one. They also get a Crystalline Aura that lasts for 30 days. This aura has a lot of advantages, including some great pet perks. If you didn't get one of the Founder's Packs, you can get a 30-day Aura for 420 Crystals ($9.99 USD) from the store.

Pets can be purchased for Crystals or Royal Crystals at the store. However, unless you are especially fond of a pet's appearance, there is no reason to buy one. Events, tasks, and Twitch drops will all provide you with free pets in Lost Ark.

Pet Effects and Functions

Two Pet Effects are included with every pet. They are only active when you have a Crystalline Aura, according to the tooltip. However, they are currently being applied to your character even if you don't have the Aura. Pet Effects are stat boosts for your character that you get any time you have that pet out. One offensive and one defensive buff are always available. Effects are generated at random when you get a pet. You can reroll your pet's Effects. It will, however, cost you Crystals. Despite the fact that they are a free sort of in-game currency, they should not be wasted. You'll also be able to get other pets. So, if rerolling is required, reserve it for later.

Pet Functions are available when you have a Crystalline Aura activated. Pet Functions have no effect on your character. They do, however, make your life a lot easier. A pet inventory, as well as remote access to your storage, mail, the market, repairs, gems, and faceting, are all included in the Pet Functions.
