Elden Ring: How many levels of New Game Plus does have?
New Game Plus is back in Elden Ring, and it's available after beating the last boss and entering Journey 2 after the credits or at the Roundtable Hold. As is customary with New Game Plus, there are multiple increasingly challenging stages, but the reality is a little more subtle.
Every game in the Souls series tackles the mode differently, and Elden Ring is no exception. Up until the eighth playthrough, the difficulty and prizes will continue to rise. The last spike in difficulty, known as NG+7, is massive, albeit it's unlikely to match the rise between the initial gameplay and the first fresh game.
Following NG+7, New Game Plus levels continue to advance indefinitely, but neither the difficulty nor the rewarded Runes do. Players are free to play through as many different versions of Elden Ring as they choose, gathering weapons, upgrading materials, boss equipment, and so on. In other words, NG+100 will feel exactly the same as NG+7 if someone is insane enough to devote that many hours to exploring the Lands Between.
Of course, there's no necessity to enter any New Game Plus, as the vast world is still accessible if players stick to their previous playing. For those willing to take on more difficulty, NG+7 and beyond are always available.
