Elden Ring: What to Do With the Red Phantom Sitting in the Roundtable Hold

Players will meet other Tarnished warriors on their own quests around the land of Elden Ring. One of these fighters is the Dung Eater, and his trip is gruesome, as the game portrays it. Even when he first comes at Roundtable Hold, he simply appears as a crimson phantom, thus players won't be able to encounter him right away.

It's difficult to figure out how to acquire more interactions with him, especially with the limited information he provides. Players can start the Dung Eater's questline by appealing to his thirst for curses.

What to Do with the Dung Eater

Once you've arrived in Altus Plateau, you should be able to find this NPC. He's hiding behind a door near the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold. If you haven't "felt a curse," he will just come as a crimson phantom, telling you to leave him alone. The curse he refers to is a Seedbed Curse, despite the fact that it sounds mysterious and arbitrary. To complete the Dung Eater's questline, players must find a Seedbed Curse item.

Seedbed Curses aren't easy to get by because they're optional critical things. Thankfully, two curses may be easily taken from dead seated on chairs in Leyndell, Royal Capital. The East Capital Rampart place of grace is where you'll locate the easiest one.

Continue forward until you reach an elevator, then take the first ladder you come across. After a short trip up the next set of stairs, the curse should be waiting for you.

Return to the Dung Eater's red phantom after earning the Seedbed Curse. He'll lead you to Leyndell's sewers, allowing you to begin his mission properly. Following his demands will lead to a different finish to the story, as well as a special healing rune similar to those found in other questlines. It's not a happy conclusion, but it's a good alternative for those who want to see everything this game has to offer.
