Genshin Impact 2.6 updates: Kamisato Ayato Abilities, release date, banner, and more

Kamisato Ayato has arrived at Genshin Impact. The identity of Ayaka's older brother and the leader of the Yashiro Commission has been revealed; here's what we know so far about the game's release date, powers, lore, and more. After months of speculation, Ayato will be released in Genshin Impact. There have been rumors of his existence for what seems like an eternity, and now it's only a matter of time before miHoYo makes his official announcement.

Thanks to the Version 2.5 live stream, he finally got a face, and now his whole kit has been shown ahead of Version 2.6. Here's all we know about Genshin Impact's Kamisato Ayato, including his release date, skills, and more.

Ayato release date in Genshin Impact

On March 30, 2022, Kamisato Ayato will be released as part of Genshin Impact's Version 2.6 update. His banner will drop alongside a Venti re-run in the early half of the patch, so save those Primogems and Wishes for just after the patch ends.

Ayato abilities in Genshin Impact

Kamisato Ayato is a Hydro character who is dedicated to the Inazuma region's development and stability. In his promo art, he holds a Sword with great grace and is filled with the water element. His standard attacks consist of a six-attack string, with an extended charge up between the third and fourth attacks before leading to a double strike. This opens up a few possibilities for his combinations.

His Elemental Skill and Burst, on the other hand, are drawing a lot of attention. Kamisato Art: Kyouka is a skill that allows him to clone himself and leave a water illusion at his original position. The illusion will explode, dealing Hydro DMG, and Ayato's strikes will become faster and more elemental.

Most others, though, were taken aback by his outburst. He is known as Kamisato Art: Suiyuu, and he summons a field of Hydro that damages adversaries and applies Hydro on a regular basis. Characters like Ganyu and Ayaka are rubbing their hands with delight at the prospect of being able to freeze.

Ayato weapon in Genshin Impact

In Genshin Impact, Ayato, like every other five-star character, will be released with a unique weapon. Haran Geppaku Futsu increases his Normal Attack DMG dependent on how many allies have recently used Elemental Skills.

Given his normals' Skill and Burst bonuses, this reinforces his identity as an attack-based character. For a chance to earn Haran Geppaku Futsu, players will be able to roll on a weapon banner separate from Ayato's character banner.

Ayato banner in Genshin Impact

Ayato's banner hasn't been revealed in detail, save from the fact that he'll be published in the first half of Version 2.6 alongside a Venti rerun. On his banner, three four-star characters will additionally receive a rate-up bonus. They haven't been revealed yet, but we'll let you know as soon as they are.
