Bighit Music, the Grammy-nominated music group's label, released a thorough statement on the Weverse app on March 19th. Jin had to go to the emergency room following an injury, and he needed surgery, according to the notice.

"Jin damaged his left index finger during his everyday duties and went to the emergency room at a neighboring hospital for assessment and treatment on Friday, March 18," according to Bighit Music's surgery update.

The doctors suggested surgery as “the tendons in the finger had been partially damaged. He underwent surgery to repair the extensor in his left index finger on the afternoon of Friday, March 18.”

"The procedure went successfully, according to the doctors," the statement continued. Jin was released from the hospital on Saturday, March 19, and has been recuperating since then. For the time being, he'll be in a cast to help with stabilization and recuperation."

The label noted, “Jin will focus on rest and treatment to fully recover from the injury and to resume his activities in good health.”
