Horizon Forbidden West: How to complete the Wings of the Ten main quest

Horizon Forbidden West's Wings of the Ten is the game's penultimate main objective. To access it, you must first complete Gemini and then the All That Remains interlude. This tutorial will show you how to finish the quest and go one step closer to the end of the story.

Step 1: Return to Base and lay Varl to rest

The first step in this mission is to return to Base and chat with Zo. Before Aloy goes out to start her plan, she and Aloy need to chat and put Varl to rest. The cutscenes in this game are breathtaking, and if you have the time, you should definitely watch them.

Step 2: Override a Tallneck and a Sunwing

Beta offered Aloy the override for a Sunwing during the Gemini main objective. It's time to find and ride an override after constructing one in Aloy's quarters. Fortunately, there's a swarm of them above the Base, so make your way up the mountain to find them. The one nearest to the tall grass on the right is the easiest to override. Mount the machine and ride to the nearest Tallneck once you've overrun it.

In Shining Wastes, you'll find the Tallneck you need to override. It'll very likely be the game's final Tallneck to override. Fly over the machine, then land or drop off onto its head to take control and get a better view of the area.

Step 3: Grab a power cell and fly to The Grove

Your next mission is to fly to one of the Old Ones' massive machines and retrieve a power cell. Then you must fly to The Grove, where Regalla's forces are preparing to overpower and assimilate any Tenakth who survives and surrenders. Watch the cutscene to watch Aloy destroy Regalla's intentions by dropping the power cell. But it doesn't stop her from wanting to fight, so you'll have to take on the rebel commander herself.

Step 4: Fight Regalla

The duel begins after Aloy challenges Regalla to a one-on-one fight. This fight takes place on three different levels. You'll be fighting Regalla up close at first, so use melee attacks to keep her at bay and set traps to catch her off guard. Use cover and your most powerful bows or spike throwers for the next stage, which is ranged.

Plasma damage proved to be the most effective method of dealing harm over time. The battle's last phase takes place in the arena and consists of a combination of close melee combat and ranged strikes. Regalla was pinned with plasma arrows followed by fire spike thrower strikes anytime she could, even when we were producing ammo.

You have a choice once you've vanquished Regalla. You have the option of letting Regalla live or killing her. If you kill her, you'll receive a new bow, but if you let her live, she'll accompany you in the final mission to defeat the Zeniths. If she lives, she adds very little to the plot, so make the decision that feels appropriate to you. This will bring the quest to a close.
