Kirby and the Forgotten Land: How to Unlock the Colosseum

The bosses in Kirby and the Forgotten Land are surprisingly difficult. They can be faced again at any moment after defeating them, however, gamers wanting for a more difficult battle will need to unlock the game's boss rush mode, which is available in every modern Kirby game. In Forgotten Land, the Colosseum plays this duty, however, it won't be accessible right away. Before they can open the Colosseum for themselves, players must proceed through the game and beat a few tough bosses.

How to Unlock the Colosseum in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Waddle Dee Town includes the Colosseum. It is not accessed by simply rescuing a certain amount of Waddle Dees, as is the case with other spots in town. Instead, clearing the Wondaria Remains area unlocks it. Players must specifically defeat Clawroline, the area's boss. This unlocks the first set of bouts in the Colosseum, ending in a confrontation against Meta Knight that can't be reached any other way. This battle will be far tougher than any you've fought before, but the reward for defeating him will be well worth the effort.

Later in the game, as one might imagine, there are more sets of combat to be found. Like the secret HAL rooms, most players will be unaware of these unless they choose to play when they typically wouldn't. By completing the game's story, you'll be able to access these additional bouts. You don't have to save every Waddle Dee, complete every Treasure Road, or find every secret; only complete every main stage to unlock additional battles.

You can pay Star Coins to be revived if you are defeated in battle in the Colosseum. You can also use the new Weapons Shop in Forgotten Land to grant yourself an ability before beginning a new series of combat. It's best to complete each new set of bouts as soon as they're unlocked, either to take advantage of the benefits or to sharpen your abilities in preparation for the harsher challenges ahead.
