Kirby and the Forgotten Land had to reduce the number of ways players might employ Copy Abilities to create room for its new gameplay style. This modification spread to the pause menu, making it impossible for players to learn all of the moves available to them. However, using the full moveset of a Copy Ability is still feasible in the game. This can be accomplished through a combination of trial and error, exploration, and – for long-time fans – simply recalling how certain skills worked in earlier games.

How to Use a Copy Ability’s Full Moveset in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Some abilities, such as Crash, need only a single push (and sometimes hold) of the B button to activate. Other powers weave their attacks into more of Kirby's activities than one might think. To put it another way, some Copy Skills can alter Kirby's fundamental abilities. Sliding using the Sword ability, for example, will trigger a special strike. During the slide, hitting A will cause Kirby to jump with the sword in his hand, and pressing B at the peak of Kirby's jump will cause the player to smash down in a violent combination! This iconic Kirby maneuver can be highly useful while fighting adversaries to rescue hidden Waddle Dees or when going off against strong bosses in the Colosseum.

If you don't think you've done enough experimentation, you might be startled to realize that Treasure Roads can help you learn a Copy Ability's moveset. A Treasure Road with the Ice Ability early on will educate the player to mash B, forcing them to employ a move they might not have known about otherwise. Many of these moves alter when you upgrade a Copy Ability in Waddle Dee Town's Weapons Shop. To get the most out of Copy Abilities, use as many different approaches as you can!
