Lost Ark Update: Casual Raids and More Free Stuff

Lost Ark, the world-shaking MMOARPG, has seen a significant drop in popularity. It may not have the largest player base, but it has a thriving community. Those who have invested time in this game are likely to continue doing so, especially with the new and forthcoming content coming from the Korean region. It's that time of the week again, and it's time for a fresh start. With the weekly reset on March 24th, the developer of Lost Ark, Smilegate RPG, and Amazon Games has prepared something fresh. The servers will be unavailable for weekly maintenance at 12 a.m. PT (7 a.m. UTC), with an estimated downtime of 8 hours.

CASUAL GUARDIAN RAID EVENT

Enjoy Guardian Raids in a more relaxed atmosphere! Relax, play, and get rewards for honing your skills. The character's stats are changed to meet the Guardian's level using 'Scale of Balance,' and the difficulty is adjusted based on the number of raiders. Helgaia, Frost Helgaia, Lumerus, Ur'Nil, Vertus, Chromanium, Nacrasena, Dark Legoros, Icy Legoros, Calventus, and Levanos will all be available to fight! This event will last about a month and will be open to players with an item level of 250 or higher.

You can enter once a day (per roster) and receive event-specific coins to spend on rewards at a new vendor, similar to the Grand Prix. Completing the Raid during the week will get you 200 coins while winning on the weekend will earn you 300 coins. This vendor will be located near the entrance to this new activity in major cities and will be fully supplied with Tier 1, 2, and 3 honing material chests, Metallurgy & Tailoring Books (used to boost honing rates), and a T3 Gem chest— all of which can be obtained once a week until the event finishes.

COMPETITIVE PROVING GROUNDS SEASON 1

Season 1 of Competitive Proving Grounds will premiere this week, on March 24, with the weekly update. Players can queue alone for the 'Team Deathmatch mode, where they will compete for prestige and awards. You may track your 'Competitive Match Average Score' as you win and lose Competitive matches during the season. Your score determines your rank, as well as the benefits you receive at the end of the season. Players must reach Tier 1 in Proving Grounds to participate, so start preparing now before the season starts later this week!

New Competitive rankings can be earned in addition to the grades and tiers that have been featured in Lost Ark since its introduction. Players will get ranks as their 'Competitive Match Average Score' rises above the score levels indicated below. Players can acquire the following ranks depending on their 'Competitive Match Average Score':

• Grand Master: Top 30 players in the region
• Master: Top 31 – 100 players in the region
• Diamond: 2000+
• Platinum: 1800 – 1999
• Gold: 1600 – 1799
• Silver: 1400 – 1599
• Bronze: 1399 or below

Following the weekly update, all of these presents will appear in your Product Inventory. These prizes will also be given to new players when they check-in for the first time.

NEW FRAUD & BOT PREVENTION SYSTEM

We're still listening to player concerns and taking a firm position against bots. We've introduced a new prevention system in this update to combat bots and fraudulent purchases. Players who have a valid Steam account and have completed the minor purchase requirement to use Steam's social features should be unaffected. Players who have not achieved this 'Trusted' status through Steam or Lost Ark will only have limited access to a few social and economic systems. These accounts will have lower daily Steam purchase restrictions than 'Trusted' accounts and will be unable to:

• Initiating player-to-player trades (requests can still be received)
• Sending in-game gifts
• Exchanging Royal Crystals for Gold
• Sending in-game mail with attachments

MESSAGING UPDATES

• Added clearer messaging on failed purchases.
• Updated and improved localization and in-game translations.

BUG FIXES

• Fixed an issue that allowed players to accept the quest “Off to the Races” without being level 50.
• Fixed voice chat-related issues in the South America region.
• Fixed an issue that could cause Adventure Island rewards to only be claimable once during the weekend.
• Fixed an issue with the World Boss Achievement. Players that earned this achievement previously will now see it completed.
