Sea of Thieves: How to unlock and roll Dice

As part of Season Five, six new emotes were added to Sea of Thieves, allowing players to roll multiple-sided dice. The following are the names of the emotes, which correlate to the sided Die they roll:

• Roll a D4
• Roll a D6
• Roll a D8
• Roll a D10
• Roll a D12
• Roll a D20

How to Unlock and Equip Dice Emotes

In Season Five, you needed to earn Renown Level 5 to unlock the appropriate Dice emotes. The Rolling Dice emote was added to NPC Larinna's inventory in Season Six, and you can purchase it for 50 doubloons from her outside any Outpost pub.

Find and open the Vanity Chest aboard your ship if you've unlocked the Dice emotes. To find the Emote tab, use the Right Bumper (RB). One by one, equip each Dice to emote to any available space in your Emote wheel.

How to Use Dice Emotes

Now it's time to roll some dice. To access your Emotes, hold down the D-pad and pick the Dice to emote you want to use. Your character will automatically roll one die and display the outcome. If you need a better view, rotate the camera and press the right trigger (RT) or left click with the mouse to zoom in on the number.

From there, the game doesn't tell you what to do with the emotes, but that shouldn't stop you from trying. You can use the random number generator to decide which activity your crew will conduct that day; you can also use the Dice to build your own games or simply role play. These emotes are probably more functional than many of their competitors, so the option is yours.
