Core Keeper: How to farm crops

Maintaining a constantly shifting hunger bar is a crucial component of surviving the underground in the game Core Keeper. While players can scavenge food from chests and adversaries, creating a farm should be high on your priority list when starting a new area.

Creating a farm in Core Keeper is rather simple; players will need to manufacture a hoe with two copper and four wood at a workbench, as well as water, can for four copper. Players can then establish a farm plot in a large area near their base with both in hand.

In the toolbar, select the hoe and highlight the area you want to convert to a farm plot. The texture will change if you right-click. Players can now choose seeds from their inventory (which they discovered while exploring) and plant them. Select the watering can from your inventory (filled at the nearest body of water) and right-click on the seed to water it once it has been planted.

Seeds germinate quickly, but players can prepare to wait a while before harvesting. When a crop begins to swing and the water texture vanishes, the player knows it's time to harvest it.

Players will profit tremendously from keeping a farm afloat with crops, and a tiny plot can easily support three or four players with active scavenging. Take attention to what the seeds offer: some will produce wood, which can ruin crops, while others will not provide food.
