Elden Ring: How to use Scholar’s Armament

Elden Ring contains dozens of spells for you to collect. Some appear to be simple to control and master, while others will keep you guessing until you've completed your third playtime. This article will show you how to employ Scholar's Armament, a Glintstone Sorcery that can provide you a significant early advantage.

How does Scholar’s Armament work?

Scholar's Armament can be purchased from Sorceress Sellen in the Limgrave Waypoint Ruins' cellar early on in the game. It does, however, have a high intelligence requirement and mechanics that are unlike any other Glintstone Sorcery you can get from her.

Scholar's Armament, like all Sorceries, must be memorized at a Site of Grace before being used. You must equip it and then equip staff in your left hand and a sword in your right hand once it has been assigned to one of your slots. The spell will not work unless your right-hand weapon is a sword. Once you've appropriately equipped all of these things, you can use Scholar's Armament to boost the damage of your sword.

To accommodate Scholar's Armament, we had to alter our entire equipment loadout. If you're used to always carrying a sword, staff, and shield, you'll have to break that habit. While the increased damage is dangerous, it's worth it when you're up against a few of the more difficult bosses and need to increase your damage output.
